Dear Parents/Carers,
The Governors and I would like to inform you that on Friday 8th July, Mrs Rebecca Winn was appointed the new Headteacher at Colgate Primary School. After two gruelling days of interview, the panel unanimously agreed that she was the right person to take over the role from me in September.
Rebecca is an experienced leader who is currently Head of school in a large Junior school in Hove. She will be able to start at the beginning of the autumn term, will bring with her expertise in many fields and will continue to work with the excellent team at Colgate to take the school further on its journey towards being outstanding.
We hope that she will be able to visit the school before the end of term and that there will be an opportunity for parents to meet her soon. I will keep you updated on dates once I have spoken to her and found out her availability.
