Our job is to help to make our school the best that it can be. We ensure that all pupils at Colgate have a voice and share their ideas. Sometimes we help Mrs Winn to show parents around our school. We have recently bought some new playground equipment to make our playtimes more fun and active.

We are currently electing new members for our school council. Our children in upper KS2 put themselves forward for this role and the class vote for who they think would make a positive contribution and who would be a good role model for others. In lower KS2 and KS1 adults discuss who would be suitable for this role and ask the children if they would like to join.
We meet once a fortnight with Mrs Forrest to talk about what is going well and what we could do to improve our school further. Last year the school council created a pupil questionnaire so that they could find out what the children liked about school and what they wanted to change. We were not surprised to find out that Forest Schools and outside learning where firm favourites!
