I live just outside Colgate and enjoy taking part in village life. I don't have children but am a proud aunt and godmother, keen to support children as they grow and explore the world. When not a governor I teach yoga and love taking my dog for walks.

Mrs Emma Forrest

I am the Deputy Head teacher and staff governor. I became a governor so that I could use my teaching experience of 30 years to support the governing body with making strategic decisions that benefit our pupils and the school as a whole.

I live a two minute drive from Colgate School and take an active part in village life both as school governor and chair of Colgate Memorial Hall. I thoroughly enjoy supporting the leadership and learning environment of our village School working together to be our best.

I have been a governor since 2019 and Chair for the last two years. I am retired, and have two grandsons attending the school. I am committed to supporting Colgate Primary in its efforts to provide the best possible education for all the children who attend.

I am originally from Scotland where I studied accountancy at Dundee University. I have been in the area for about 7 years and I have two lovely children Xander (Apple Class) and his younger sister Rory along with Monkey the dog. I very much look forward to getting more involved in school life.

I am a senior HR professional, currently working for a multinational media company. Both my daughters attend Colgate and love the school. In my career I have always been passionate about supporting young people and am looking forward to using my skills and experience to further support Colgate Primary.

My two children attended the school and are now at Cottesmore. I like walking, reading and sport. I became a governor to contribute to the school and our village community. I am a solicitor and my education has provided me with life opportunities which I would like to help others to benefit from.

I am a Secondary school Maths teacher and currently a full time Mum to my three boys; the eldest of whom is in Year 1 at Colgate Primary school. I wanted to be a governor so that I can play a more active role in supporting the school which will nurture my children's first educational experiences.

Hello! I am Julie, a Local Authority governor. I live in the village, and am married with one daughter, who is at university. I am a marketing and sales consultant, and have worked in the consumer products industry for over 30 years. I thoroughly enjoy supporting the community of Colgate Primary School.

I am Giles and have been an Associate Member on the Governing Body since 2021. My wife & I have lived in Colgate for over 8 years and I am proud to be on the Governing Body as it helps me support our local village community. My background is in ICT and I relax by walking our 18 month Hungarian Vizsla puppy in the mornings!

My role is to take minutes of Governing Body and Committee meetings, help to draft agendas and papers, advise the Governing Body on legal and procedural issues, maintain and update the Governors' Development Plan and Action Plan, keep records of membership, training and attendance and support induction of new Governors.
