Admissions information

Admissions and Transfers

Visits to Colgate Primary School are warmly welcomed and encouraged for parents considering a place for their child. Parents should make an appointment at the school office or visit the school during the two Open Afternoons held annually in the autumn and spring terms.  School visits include a tour around the premises; going into all of the classrooms and teaching areas. There will be an opportunity to discuss any issues with the Headteacher or school representative.

Admissions are co-ordinated by the Local Authority team based in Horsham. Enquiries and applications should be made in writing or by telephone to:

Transfer to Secondary School

Children leave Colgate Primary School at the end of Year 6 and transfer to a variety of local schools. Our main feeder schools are Millais and Forest Boys School. However, due to geographical factors and parental preferences, children move onto a variety of secondary schools within the area. Our aim is to make the transfer to secondary school as smooth as possible. There are opportunities for parents and children to visit the schools and for the children to meet their new form teachers during the summer term prior to leaving Colgate.
