Admissions information

Admissions and Transfers Autumn 2020

In usual circumstances, visits to Colgate Primary School are warmly welcomed and encouraged for parents and carers considering a place for their child.

This term, visits will be managed in a different way. We will shortly be uploading a welcome video for prospective parents and carers to view. We will also be offering three opportunities for questions and answers through Zoom. These dates will be shared very soon. If you are interested in taking part in these sessions, please email us at to let us know.

If your child has a particular learning need or access issue that would mean you need to view the school, please do contact us to discuss your requirements.

Admissions are co-ordinated by the Local Authority team based in Horsham. Enquiries and applications should be made in writing or by telephone to:

Transfer to Secondary School

Children leave Colgate Primary School at the end of Year 6 and transfer to a variety of local schools. Our main feeder schools are Millais and Forest Boys School. However, due to geographical factors and parental preferences, children move onto a variety of secondary schools within the area. Our aim is to make the transfer to secondary school as smooth as possible. There are opportunities for parents and children to visit the schools and for the children to meet their new form teachers during the summer term prior to leaving Colgate.
