We have had a very busy first half term! All of our children have settled in brilliantly and they have amazed us with their learning! Our Year 1 children have helped us to make the new children feel very welcome and are excellent role models. Well done Year 1!
Our Year 1 children thoroughly enjoyed their visit to Singleton Museum with Maple Class. They had lots of fun exploring old houses and were able to share lots of interesting facts with our Reception children.
We have also been very busy in our new mud kitchen. Our children have been working together and developing their speaking and listening skills whilst creating lots of yummy mud pies and cakes!
A couple of weeks ago, one of the children discovered two frogs in a tyre in our outside area. The other children were fascinated with the frogs and together we came up with a plan to help return the frogs to our pond area. They worked together and showed lots of care towards the creatures. Well done everyone!
We have been reading lots of stories, creating pictures of houses using ICT, exploring different materials, counting and recognising numbers, engaging in role play, making models and riding bikes. We have had lots of fun!
